Martial Artists and Mental Training

Today, are you just going to sit there?

At the Ocala Martial Arts Center we encourage our students, families, and friends to take the necessary time to reflect on their life.  When many people first think about Martial Arts, they tend to think about the physical aspects of:

  • Karate
  • TaeKwon-Do
  • Ju Jutsu / Jiu Jitsu
  • Kickboxing
  • Judo
  • Mixed Martial Arts (MMA)
  • etc.

However, the martial arts is not only about Kicking, Punching, Fighting, Self Defense, Weight Loss, Fitness, etc … As a martial artist, you need to take the time to focus and reflect on what some people consider to be the more important aspects of martial arts – Your Mental Training – which involves reflecting on:

  • Your Past
  • Your Present
  • Your Future

If, after careful reflection, you find that you have to re-adjust – Then just start walking in that direction.  Movement over procrastination is the key.
